You make it sound so simple! The truth is rather different! Albanians have committed terrible crimes, even after the UN sent in peace keeping troops. They even murdered innocent school children on their way to school. How brave was that? So please, do not think they are victims. They have a long history of committing crimes. In WW2 they co-operated with Nazi forces and used that position to murder the Serbs (our allies!) at that time. Serbia has taken steps to deal with crimes against humanity..

I also see you are an American. Your government were warned that recognition of Kosovo would lead to trouble. It has. It gave murdering Georgian forces the green light to kill innocent people, again, including children. Russia went to help those people and Bush should have praised him, but didn't. What sort of person does that make him? Thank goodness Russia is re-asserting itself. The world is a much safer place with a strong Russia!

According to Mahti Athisaari (nobel prize winner) Tadic and the serb leaders from the beginning when the negotiations started were told that kosovo will be independent. In spite of that, Tadic kept saying to serbs in kosovo that "kosovo will never be independent"..just like milosevic.

You will find that many British and Americans are very unhappy with their support for Albnanians in Kosovo. It would be easy to explain away my views if I was a Serb, but I am not! The UK government is very unpopular and will not be re-elected. I repeat Kosovo is part of Serbia, always will be. International law says so.
