Cool idea. If I were better at making movies, I'd do something along that vein. Probably some guy walks into a church to get out of a rainstorm after walking for a while, sings the chorus to this song up into the rafters, then he falls to the ground smoking, then explodes with light and feathers flowing out of his back, and when it's over he has wings and walks out of the church to look up at the sun shining through the clouds. I think that would carry the demonic/angelic symbolism pretty well.

Not always best to take the literal meaning to a video. Think of it like a poem. Most poems don't depict love with just the word love. They depict them with so many other vivid ideals and visuals. Try to imagine this song without Christianity in your mind and get away from angelic/demonic symbolism.

I wasn't really thinking Christianity, it was more just what the song made me see. I do see the love aspect of the song, but the feeling that this is about a lost or left behind love made me think more on the demonic/angelic theme. I see it more as lovers who have had a falling out than an absolute good versus absolute evil thing. Kind of like "I miss you so much and want to come back, but I can't come back, not with how we left things, and not if you can't admit you might have been wrong."
